LINCOLN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE REPORT WEEK ENDING JANUARY 19

LINCOLN COUNTY – Last Week, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted 29 traffic stops, 47 security checks, 10 calls involving cars hitting deer, two for cars hitting coyote and one report of a car hitting a dog. There were seven reports regarding unsafe driving.

On Saturday January 18th, deputies placed a 26-yr-old woman from Merrill under arrest for OWI 4th offense following a traffic stop on USH 51 near Lincoln Dr. One of the deputies trained in recognition of impairment noticed the woman appeared to be under the influence and placed her under a series of field sobriety tests which prompted the arrest. The woman was also placed under arrest for two counts of bail jumping, tampering with an ignition interlock device, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of THC.
